Dunes de Mer Foundation completes its first project!!

Last year we launched our Foundation, “Dunes de Mer”, whose initiatives aim to improve the quality of life of the Vezo by implementing a myriad of innovative projects in the fields of health, education, eco-housing, fisheries and cultural development.

To give you further insight on the lives of the inhabitants, The Vezo live along the world’s 3rd largest coral reef, but that reef is threatened and is already dying in places because of over–fishing and general human pressure. The vast majority live in small stick and reed huts built on sand and they are 100% dependent on coral reefs for survival. While they are a modest and hardworking population, they are critically deprived from the most basic needs.

Our first project has been undertaken at (name of place) whereby the playground has been revamped.

We aspire to do so much more, but we need YOUR help!

Next project in pipeline is launching our mobile clinic to make medical facilities available to remote areas around in the south-west coast of Madagascar, a region heavily affected by poverty and deprivation.

We would be grateful if you choose to be part of this ambitious project by making a generous contribution in harmony with our values of sharing. We can do much more for those who do not have access to the most basic human needs.

If you wish to do so, you can go on contributing to our website http://13.233.140.50/donate  and you will be informed of the progress of each project.

Together, we can continue improving and impacting the lives of the Vezo, to ensure a better tomorrow for this remarkable community.

“In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” – Abraham Lincoln
